Carlos Francisco
@carlosfrancisco
An original product of the UK's 1987 house music explosion, Carlos Francisco began his journey as an old-school raver before evolving into a globally active DJ, producer, composer, label owner and mentor. Since the early '90s, he has maintained a consistent presence behind the decks, holding residencies and guest appearances at some of the world's most respected venues, including London's legendary Ministry of Sound and Turnmills, where he developed a sound deeply rooted in underground house culture. Alongside his artist career, Carlos has composed and produced music for television productions, including the BBC, giving him extensive experience in writing music that is both technically polished and emotionally effective. In 2006, he founded SP Recordings, now an established platform within the global house music scene, delivering multiple Top 10 charting releases while supporting both established and emerging artists. In 2020, he launched Tikuna Trax, a label dedicated to organic, Afro House and Afro-Latin sounds. As a producer, Carlos has built a catalogue of more than 600 releases across vinyl and digital formats and currently reaches over 120,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. His music has been released on respected labels including Buddha-Bar, MoBlack Records, Nite Grooves / King Street, Soundmen On Wax, We're Here, Vida Records, Blacksoul, Kolour and Celestial Recordings, earning chart success across Afro House, Deep House, Nu Disco and Jackin' House. His official cover of "Can You Feel It" reached No. 1 on Traxsource, contributing to his position among the platform's Top 40 Afro House producers. After 27 years in London, Carlos is now based in Fortaleza, Brazil, where he continues to develop his labels while refining a distinctive Deep and Afro-Latin-influenced sound. Whether you're an emerging producer or an established artist, Carlos focuses on honest, constructive feedback that helps take tracks from good ideas to release-ready records. Drawing on decades of experience as a DJ, producer, label owner and music supervisor, his reviews are designed to highlight both strengths and the practical improvements that will make the biggest difference.
