Demo Submission Management for Record Labels | LabDrop by TrackLab
LabDrop gives record labels one place to receive, organize, review, and respond to music demos. Create your free label page and simplify your A&R workflow.
Is LabDrop free for record labels?
Yes. Creating your label page and receiving demos costs nothing — there is no subscription and no setup fee. New label pages are reviewed by our team before they appear in the LabDrop directory, and your link works once the page is published.
Do producers have to pay to submit?
No. Submitting a demo is free. Paid Label Feedback is a separate, optional add-on: you have to turn it on, and the producer has to choose to request it. If you leave it off, every submission you receive is free for the artist.
Do labels have to provide feedback?
No. Feedback is entirely optional. You can run LabDrop purely as a demo inbox — listen, tag privately, and decline what does not fit — without ever writing a report.
How does paid Label Feedback work?
You turn it on and set a price from 1 LabCredit upward. A producer who wants it pays when they submit. You listen, then send a short report rating alignment with your label and the quality of the track. Your LabCredits are credited when you deliver the report. If you decline the submission instead, the producer is refunded.
How much does TrackLab charge?
TrackLab keeps 20% of paid Label Feedback and you keep 80%. There is no charge on free submissions and no charge for having a label page.
Can we choose which genres we accept?
Yes. You pick the genre lanes your label works in when you set up your page, and they show on your public page and in the LabDrop directory so producers can see your focus before they send. Your page bio is where you describe what you are signing right now.
Can we use our LabDrop page in our Instagram bio or website?
Yes. Your page is a normal public link, so it works anywhere you already promote your label — Instagram bio, website, Linktree, email signature or A&R outreach. It is designed to be the one destination you point producers to for demo submissions.
Do we have to stop accepting demos through email or DMs?
No. You can keep accepting demos however you prefer. LabDrop just gives you a cleaner option alongside them, which you can gradually make your primary submission channel.
Can we temporarily stop accepting demos?
Yes, with two separate controls. You can switch off demo submissions while keeping your page visible, or pause the page itself so it drops out of the LabDrop directory. Pausing does not delete anything — your page and past submissions stay intact.
Can multiple team members manage submissions?
Not yet. Today each label page has a single owner account, and that account manages the demo inbox. Shared team access is not available.
Who owns the music submitted through LabDrop?
The artist does. Under the TrackLab Terms of Use, users keep all intellectual property rights in the content they upload and grant TrackLab only a non-exclusive licence to host, process and display it so the service can run. Receiving a demo through LabDrop does not transfer any rights to your label.
Is submitted music secure?
Demos sent to your label land in your inbox and are not published to the LabDrop directory. Your private A&R tags and notes are never shown to the artist. For the full detail on how files and personal data are stored and handled, see the TrackLab Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
